Nutmeg & Bentley is a mama-made small business in Northumberland, born from a love of childhood, a passion for creating, and a wish to leave the world a little better for the little people we love so much.
As parents, we spend so much of our lives wanting to give our children the very best. We want them to grow up surrounded by love, to feel safe enough to dream, to have the freedom to explore the world with muddy knees and wild imaginations, and to grow up on a planet full of beauty and possibility. We want them to have the childhood they deserve, and a future worth looking forward to.
But we also know that the world we live in creates far too much waste. Fabric is thrown away every day, even when it still has so much life left to give. Beautiful textiles are discarded, clothes are outgrown in the blink of an eye, and a culture of buying more and replacing things too quickly has become the norm.
We believe there is another way.
At Nutmeg & Bentley, we're passionate about giving fabrics a second life, finding beauty in the things already around us, and creating thoughtfully made treasures from materials that might otherwise be forgotten. Through reclaimed textiles, small-batch making and carefully considered creations, we hope to show that something old can become something wonderful, and that the things we choose to make and buy can carry a little more meaning.
Safety is never compromised. Our products are created to meet UK safety standards and guidelines, so parents can feel confident knowing their little ones are using items made with care, knowledge, and responsibility.
Everything we make is rooted in the same simple values: make thoughtfully, waste less, treasure what we have, and let childhood be childhood.

We recommend using a tracked postal service when sending your clothing to us. The cost of postage to Nutmeg & Bentley is the customer's responsibility, so please take this into consideration when budgeting for your keepsake.
What if I don't have enough clothing for an Heirloom Garland?
Don't worry! You don't need to have enough clothing to make the entire banner.
Where additional fabric is required, we will thoughtfully select coordinating fabrics to complement your child's clothing while keeping your precious baby clothes as the main feature.
